SONY KV-14LT1U Trinitron CRT TV stuck in standby. (1 Viewer)

I have a Sony KV-14LT1U Trinitron CRT TV that is stuck in standby mode. It blinks 11 times and according to the service manual this has something to do with the Jungle controller. I haven't a clue what this is. Is this TV repairable? It would be a shame if it isn't as it such an excellent TV for displaying SD media. Much better than any LCD TV that I've seen and it's not like I can currently afford a new TV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Had a similar problem with a Samsung tv recently and it turned out that several capacitors on the power board had blown. The board was replaced under warranty but the problem was well documented and the parts could be had from Radio Shack for about $10.00.


IIRC Dell had a similar problem with a batch of their computers.
