This modern Western drama used the professional rodeo circuit as its backdrop and starred Jack Lord in the title role, several years before "Hawaii Five-0." It was produced by Leslie Stevens' Daystar Productions, the same folks behind the original "The Outer Limits" and the William Shatner cult film (performed in Esperanto) "Incubus." The supporting cast included Warren Oates, Bruce Dern, and Bob Dowdell (of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" fame). This would be a long shot for release, but it's a high quality show.

Cover Up
#1: I never saw the show, and am curious
#2: I want to see the episode titled Golden Opportunity, as it was the last episode to feature Jon-Erik Hexum. It was during this episode that Hexum inadvertenly committed suicide by putting a prop gun filled with blanks to his temple, and fired.

James at 15. Lots of music clearance issues in this one and Fox is currently not the best in dealing with these...to say the least.

I'd love to see a "Tales of the Gold Monkey" release too. I still have a few eps tape from when TV Land aired it on Saturday mornings years ago, and it's still entertaining. In fact, since it was a combo of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"/"Only Angels Have Wings," I wouldn't be surprised if Universal didn't release it next year to capitalize on "Indy 4." (Which they appear to be doing with Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew S2 and the upcoming WB Nancy Drew movie.)

I'd also like to see Don Rickles's "CPO Sharkey," but I think that was on for a season-and-a-half, so it's probably not eligible for this list.

As for recent series, I wouldn't mind "Andy Barker, PI: The Complete Series," which I found very entertaining. It could even include the sixth "unaired, Internet-only" episode.

Most Wanted:

Brimstone (1998)
13 episodes - 1 season
Production Companies
Warner Bros. Television
One of my favorite shows of all time. I have all the episodes, but I'd like a DVD set if it had extras. I wish Warner Home Video had something else to say about this show than their perennial "No plans."

Strange Luck (1995)
17 episodes - 1 season
Production Companies
Fox Television Network
M2 Services
New World Television
Unreality
This never seems to show up in reruns anywhere, and I don't have any of the episodes.

Special Unit 2 (2001)
19 episodes - 2 seasons
Production Companies
Paramount Television
Rego Park
This is currently in re-runs on The Sci-Fi Channel, but I no longer get that
channel, and knowing Skiffy, they probably have popup ads. and voiceovers/scrunched credits polluting the episodes.

Midnight Caller (1988)
(Not on epguides but is on IMDb as /title/tt0094510/)
61 episodes - 3 seasons
Production Companies
December 3rd Productions
Gangbuster Films Inc. (1988-1989)
Lorimar Television (in association with)
This never seems to show up in reruns anywhere, and I don't have any of the episodes.

Boomtown (2002), Season 2
6 episodes in Season 2
Production Companies
NBC Studios
DreamWorks Television (in association with)
Nemo Films (in association with)
These episodes should have been in the first DVD set, and we'll probably never see them on DVD, now.

Newhart (1982)
184 episodes - 8 seasons
Production Companies
MTM Enterprises Inc.

I loved this show, and it looks like this one is possibly on the way. Amazon.com has a....

Newhart (1982)

....page for it.

The Class (2006)
19 episodes - 1 season
Production Companies
Warner Bros. Television
I have most of the episodes, but the quality of the recordings isn't all that great. Would like to see 'em on DVD with extras.

It'd Be Nice to Have:

Jericho (2006-2007)
22 episodes - 1 season
Production Companies
CBS Paramount Network Television
Junction Entertainment

The Agency (2001)
44 episodes - 2 seasons
Production Companies
Radiant Productions
Studios USA Television (season 1)
Universal Network Television (season 2)
CBS Productions (in association with)

Peacemakers (2003)
9 episodes - 1 season
Production Companies
Michael R. Joyce Productions
USA Cable Entertainment LLC
I have all the episodes, but it'd be nice to have a set without USA's popup ads and voiceovers. :p

Do you mean the 1981 series starring William Conrad? Is that scheduled to be released? What have you heard?

I think he may mean the A&E series with Maury Chaykin and Timothy Hutton, that's a recent release. Now, sadly, I have to add New Amsterdam to the list.......

Here's my list...

Bagdad Café (Whoopi Goldberg & Jean Stapleton)
Style & Substance (Nancy McKeon & Jean Smart)
One in a Million (Shirley Hemphill)
A Touch Of Grace (Shirley Booth)
Can't Hurry Love (Nancy McKeon & Mariska Hargitay)
Gloria (Sally Struthers)

I'm surprised Bagdad Café hasn't been released on dvd. Apparently, there is a big following of the original movie. And with stars like that in the series, you would think they would give it a chance.

In looking over my post on page 1 of this thread (some 2 years ago) I listed 21 shows ranging in date from 1959-1988 and currently just one of those ("Honey West") managed to see a release. I honestly thought we'd see "Search" and "The Green Hornet" by now at least.

After seeing a short clip of "Coronet Blue" (1967) on YouTube last night, I'd have to go ahead and add that one to my wish list, just on theme/title sequence alone.
