I'm glad I got to see it while I did. Absolutely agree with Ricardo - definitely better than the show these days. The mob scene, Maggie and the bottle, "That's enough whipping ... with this arm!". Great. I'm really excited about the film.

there is an unfinished scene on the new x-men last stand dvd.

homer voice over tells us the scene is unfinished and to not ask a bunch of times why it looks this way and why there's no color, then it starts and
thefox logo goes right to b & w and homer goes , hey weres the color.

then the scene starts.

it is just an unfinished series ofstoryboards animated into a moving picture.

it also debuts during the sinpsons sunday night too i think.

Sounds just like the Comic Con footage which is easily accessible on You Tube.

this was homer on a dog sled whipping a bunch of dogs with one arm then the other.

after they stop the dogs attach him..

was an odd clip.
homer was a bit cruel in his enthusiasm for the whipping

Well, if you search on YouTube there's a better scene where the town has formed a mob and are attacking the Simpsons home looking for Homer.

In fact, here it is:

The trailer was a little underwhelming (it was more accurately a teaser). The CGI joke was obvious, and the bit with Homer while cute, wasn't as fun as the comic con footage.

The trailer:

I like the setup and I like the gag, but unlike the first teaser and the Comicon animatics, there's the slight whiff of modern Simpsons in the way they drive the joke into the ground. Cute as it was being caught between a rock and a hard place, it'd have played better with him just getting nailed.

I gotta go with Chad and say that I was underwhelmed as well but this movie is the most excited for The Simpsons I've been in years. One OK-ish teaser isn't going to deflate that enthusiasm.

I did find it funny that they said the movie was in 2-D but almost every shot shown was augmented using a computer (a la Futurama). They're still right but it ain't like the hand drawn Snow White days either. :)

Way too close to being an exact copy of the South Park movie teaser. Actually, forget being too close, it was an exact copy.

I'll probably still see it. :)

The second teaser is classic! I haven't laughed so hard at a promo in ages, if ever! I love it. Hopefully it'll be on the Season Nine DVD!
