It's strange that Star Trek new iterations kind of had me thinking about shows that run seven years and then that's it.

So, I was trying to think of prime-time shows that have run for more then 7 years. (Not News Programming)

Here's a small list of what I've got:

Yeah, I knew google would have the answer, but I really didn't want that, I wanted to see what shows people remembered for their long runs. I mean, heck, things like Howdy Doody probably ran forever, but it doesn't leap to your mind as a long-running success

In 1974 Willie Nelson taped the pilot performance for Austin City Limits.
Season One began in 1976.
I'm going to see Ghostland Observatory and The Decemberists tape a show soon.

Yes, that is correct. Both are among my all-time favorites of any sitcom so far. Frasier was especially, given it's more upscale humor.
