I think I'm done with fall colors for the year. This was from our weekend holiday trip to Traverse City.

Figure I should bump this so people can this years fall pics in.

I'm in Las Vegas and we don't have fall colors.

I'm hoping I can find some in Burbank when I'm there in two weeks.

Colors are approaching peak here in the Northeast.

While some of our local maples at a local cemetery are just starting to turn:

My favorite tree was so beautiful today that I had to stop and take this shot wth my iPhone--even though my DSLR was safely at home:

I just realized I posted this picture of "my favorite maple" just about exactly a year ago in this thread and it had already lost a fair number of its leaves:

No snow here yet. Fall colours on their way.

I was at a film festival in southeastern Oklahoma this past weekend and after the showing of one of our films I ran over to Robbers Cave State Park. I didn't have a lot of time (about an hour), but this one turned out ok. I really wish there had been some clouds in the sky, but alas there weren't.

I'll have to go back someday now that I'm a little more familiar with the place. It takes me a while to get to know a location.

I love this tree next to my work parking lot. It's beautiful when the afternoon sun hits it. Snapped this with my iPhone as I left for the day.

There's a nice red leafed tree in my employer's parking lot also, but I haven't been able to catch it in good light.

Peg and I are on a trip to Burlington for a couple days. It was easy to see the trees starting to turn color while driving through the Adirondack Mountains in NY and then up along Lake Champlain in VT.

But then I found myself in the Burlington City Cemetery this afternoon and this one tree stood out like a sore thumb--WAY AHEAD of the rest of the trees in the cemetery and most of the region. Glad I had my camera in the car:

We stopped by the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway on our way to our South Carolina condo last month. While we've been to that area several times in the past, we had never been there in the fall. The colors were beautiful, but the crowds in the national park was crazy (much worse than summer time). Here are a few shots:

Front yard ground tree and several back yard views across the Hudson river from the Vanderbilt Mansion Oct. 2019.
