Hm, not sure about some of these choices. . .some shows have short runs for a reason! ;)

Did anyone else really like Special Unit 2? I thought it combined the best features of The X-Files and V.I.P. (supernatural investigators in a show that didn't take itself seriously for one second) -- one of the most entertaining shows on the air! UPN kept moving it around, so it never developed an audience, but boy was it fun to watch.

So did Debrah Farentino and Jon Tenney, who also starred together in Get Real (along with Anne Hathaway, who is still a cutie).

I'd like to see the following Short-Lived series released on DVD:

1) Birds of Prey - It wasn't a very good show when it started out, but it looked like it was getting better as the show went on. I was starting to enjoy it.

2) Lone Gunmen - Great X-Files spinoff series.

3) Space: Above & Beyond - I loved this show. It was ambitious and had a great cliffhanger.

4) Key West - If you're a fan of Northern Exposure then chances are that you would have liked this show which aired for one season in 1993. It's very similar to Northern Exposure except it takes place in Florida.

5) Freaky Links - I really enjoyed this show and was very saddened to see it cancelled.

6) Going to Extremes - this show aired in 1992. It was a comedy about American medical students undergoing their training on a tropical island.

I really loved the show "It's Your Move" from the early '80s. Wonder if it holds up...I was just a teen then.

Small Wonder - This show is viciously terrible, and I love it ;)

Profit - one of the coolest, darkest ideas for a show.. an executive who killed others and lived in a cardboard box, plotting their demise. I loved it.

Strange Luck

A-Team

Showtime's Outer Limits (all eps)

Parker Lewis Can't Lose

Earth 2

Edit: I have to add "Fly Away" one of the most beautiful TV shows I had ever seen, and still crisply done. Just too smart to find an audience ;(

The A-Team?

Sorry, a five year run and 98 episodes do not make you a short run series, which in my mind would be a show that lasted two season at the most.

Thanks for the information about the 1985 Get SMart.

And should I be cheeky and mention:

Twin Peaks (season 2).

I remember the show Nowhere Man. I totally loved it. I don't remember them wrapping it up though! I could of sworn they left us hanging. That was a great show... one of UPN's very first, right along with Voyager.

I know it wasn't short lived and it may of been mentioned before, but I was talking to a friend and they REALLY need to get Quantam Leap on DVD. That's about the only other show I would own all of, aside from DS9. I don't think every TV series has alot of replay value, but those do to me.
