Today, Sharp announced the 70-inch AQUOS Ultra HD LED TV.

This set comes packing the coveted THX 4K certification. I didn't realize there was a 4K certification out from THX, so that is news to me (check out the video below). The set includes 3D and built-in WiFi and includes two pairs of Bluetooth 3D.

The set has a six-speaker sound system, which includes separate mid-range and tweeters. It also packs in Sharp’s own DuoBass dual subwoofer system for 35 watts of power.

It seems odd to me that an Ultra HD 4K LED TV would need active 3D glasses since for 4K 3D can easily resolve passive Full HD 1080P 3D.
