Oh yeah, and an iMac just for fun...

Networking computers is a huge pain, especially between the various flavors of Windows. It occurred to me that there aren't that many variables, it is just very unfamiliar and time consuming.

I am wondering if someone hasn't yet created a software tool that could be used to set up a home network. Maybe something on a USB drive which would recognize an OS then plug in the settings needed (network name, computer name, firewall settings, etc) automatically.

I would bet that there is a huge demand for a software tool like this if one does not already exist. Does anyone know if such a thing can be found?
