I am turning a small room in my home into a office/theater/game room.
I have a pc with blu-ray player/burner that I enjoy playing game with. I am wanting to hook the pc to everything and hopefully play mkv files and home video files from my computer to the tv.
I am thinking of purchasing the following:
$400 Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System - Amazon.com
$220 DENON AVR-1613 - Accessories4less.com
$100 WD TV Live - Best Buy
$130 Brother Printer DCP7065DN Monochrome Laser Multi-Function Copier - Best Buy
$1500 Panasonic TC-PST60 - Best Buy
I am decently tech savvy, but admit that it has been awhile since I really updated my video/audio stuff in my house. Guess I am looking for advice on the individual components and if they are quality (or looking for alternatives).
Also, I am wondering if all these things will connect well and work well with each other.
Can I play bluray disks from my computer to the TV?
Can I play mkv files through the WD TV Live to the TV?
Can I play video games from my computer through the TV?
Can I use the Energy Speakers to output audio when I play a computer game?
Is the WD TV Live necessary?
I know I am posing lots of questions! Just looking for some friendly advice from people more knowledgeable than myself.
Thanks for your help.
