Has anyone noticed how the theme music jumps back and forth in at least Season 4? I'm not in Season 5 yet. There's a faster theme in Season 4, but then after several episodes it's gone. Then a few episodes later it's back. Didn't know if they used two themes or if this is a goof.

I love this series -- Zimbalist, Brosnan, and Roberts made a great team. I miss them!

If you want to try a very deep, superbly acted detective series, watch "A Touch of Frost". It ran for 13 years on BBC and features episodes nearly 2 hours long. The acting is simply off the charts.
Another unrelated British series was The Sandbaggers. Best spy series ever to air on BBC. Scripted by a former British Naval Intelligence officer who revealed so much 'inside info' that he was forced to disappear shortly before the end of Season 1.

But Frost and Sandbaggers (as good as they are) bear no resemblance whatsoever to Remington Steele. It would be like saying "If you enjoyed Star Trek, you should try watching Doctor Who". Same genre, but Apples and Oranges.
