I'd like to support the request for the Altman double bill of California Split and Images. California Split has been on my most wanted list for too long. I didn't know that Columbia own the rights to Images. It was a Hemdale title originally - have Columbia bought up the whole Hemdale library?

Here are a dozen Columbia titles - all personal favorites - that I'd love to see make the leap to Blu-ray.

(A) Six that I'd say have a reasonable shot:
THE TAMING OF THE SHREW(1967) Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton
MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT(1959) Kim Novak, Fredric March
THE VICTORS(1963) George Peppard, Vince Edwards, Romy Schneider
LADIES IN RETIREMENT(1941) Ida Lupino, Louis Hayward
WHO WAS THAT LADY?(1960) Tony Curtis, Dean Martin, Janet Leigh
MURDER BY CONTRACT(1958) Vince Edwards
(This one is part of a British noir box set, I think, but' I'd love to see a stand-alone domestic release)

(B) Six more - all ultra-longshots. But you never know.
SERPENT OF THE NILE(1953) Rhonda Fleming, William Lundigan, Raymond Burr
THE BRIGAND(1952) Anthony Dexter, Jody Lawrance, Anthony Quinn
THE SARACEN BLADE(1954) Ricardo Montalban, Betta St. John, Carolyn Jones
TOGETHER AGAIN(1944) Irene Dunne, Charles Boyer
WHEN A GIRL'S BEAUTIFUL(1947) Adele Jergens, Marc Platt
LET'S FALL IN LOVE(1933) Ann Sothern, Edmund Lowe

I'm a sucker for unusual b&w movies on Prime but I'm usually disappointed by print quality however, Columbia's Ladies In Retirement is an exception & highly recommended. If you have some Prime b&w pristine favorites please share?

I will forever hope that someday THE GOOD HUMOR MAN with Jack Carson, Lola Albright and George Reeves rates at least a standard DVD or a streaming release. It's just shown up on Tubi.

It's a childhood favorite with great cartoon-like gags from writer Frank Tashlin and the plot line of Carson's Captain Marvel fan club battling future Superman George Reeves has always cracked me up.
