Proper way to shut off Gamecube (1 Viewer)

Top loading systems just power it off, then take disc out. Put new game in etc.....

How smart or dumb are you all anyways. Well yes if you open lids the disc stops spinning. But its more safer to do it by powering off. Reset first if you must also.

Says right in my friends manuals.
