I recently bought a Pioneer SD-533HD5 TV and Yamaha C 920
DVD changer with the
Faroudia video chip.I would like to use the progressive scan from the Yamaha, do I have to turn off the video proccessor on the TV and if so,how. Any help would be appreciated.

No, there is nothing you need to do to the TV. Just hook up the dvd player to the TV via component cables and switch on your progressive scan. The Pioneer will sense that the incoming signal is 480p and will automatically bypass it's built in deinterlacer (aka line doubler) and display the native 480p signal from the dvd player.
