I have had mixed results with various DVD software in terms of image quality and ability to run full screen without clipping. Since many of the DVD software players have to be purchased. I would be interested in recommendations that people have had good success with.

WMP is decent but sometimes "stalls" and hangs to the point of requireing end-task or even worse.. reset.

Thanks!

i assume you're just talking about dvd playback?

two that i really like:

1. widows media player classic
2. vlc media player

both of them don't require any additional codecs, which is nice.

Another vote for VLC here for its speed and low overheads.

Media Player Classic and VLC (but I prefer MPC), VLC is always good when you stumble upon files you have problems playing !!
