Superhero Hype reports that Brad Fulmer, a former X-FILES assistant to Chris Carter, has been hired to write a feature film version of TEEN TITANS for Warner Bros. The Hype website also reports that Fulmer is already at work on a second draft of the project and that producer Akiva Goldsman is shepherding things.

The Teen Titans have been around in DC Comics for almost four decades and starred in a number of different books. Originally consisting of a line-up of young superhero sidekicks, the kids eventually reached adulthood and became known as just The Titans. An animated series is presently in development and due to air on Cartoon Network this summer.

Most likely will be Robin-less due to any outstanding Batman movie rights.

Who would they include? Raven? Starfire? Beast Boy/Changeling? Cyborg? Speedy? Aqualad/Tempest?

And Akiva Goldsman? Eww.

Don't forget that DC is launching a new "Teen Titans" comic this June, mostly with the characters from the now-sadly-defunct "Young Justice". Base it around Robin, Superboy, and Impulse and you've got something almost guaranteed to be entertaining.

Of course, WB will probably ignore the source material because movies are their main business and DC is basically a collection of trademarks for them, whereas Marvel needs their movies to lead people back to the comics.

Yet...another...Teen...Titans..comic? Oh, the current one is just "Titans" since they all grew up.

Yeah, like Jason said, "Young Justice" is becoming "Teen Titans" and at least a few of the current "Titans" team are going to be in a new version of "The Outsiders."

As far as the movie goes, I think it will depend alot upon the new animated series, which is apparently set sometime in the future. I am also really scared about Akiva Goldsman being involved, even if it is as a producer.
