Well ever since Dragonslayer got a DVD release there has been very little for April Fool's pranksters to work with.

One can only speculate about DVD releases for Lost Highway and SHE as a comedic routine so many times.

My oh my, someone got out of bed the wrong side this morning. If the thread was neither witty nor original, why did you read it? And for that matter, what motivated you to respond to something that is clearly a bit of silliness in keeping with the general nature of April Fool's jokes?

Patrick - I love the colorization and I'm sure Orson would have approved. Now all we need is the video game tie-in.

I've been working on the video game spin-off. In the game, you play a reporter sent to find Rosebud in Xanadu. Your task is to navigate through various levels of the mansion, overcoming obstacles along the way. For example, one of the gorillas has escaped from Xanadu's zoo and you have to dodge the barrels he keeps throwing at you.

Why is everybody so worried about Citizen Kane? That
is the correct aspect ratio for ALL films- everything
should be shown on TV and sold on video in the 4:3
format. We need to start a petition calling for directors
to forget widescreen and make everything look like a
TV production.

How was he able to block it? The film was owned soley by Ted Turner and he could do whatever he wanted with it, no matter how horrendous the result.

Apparently, it was because the contract he signed for Citizen Kane said that only he would be able to OK an alteration.
