I'm gonna call him about the TAD; that is a very nice looking product, I'd be interested as to how it sounds! Did you ever compare it to the Rogue or other preamps?

I did not compare the TAD-150 to anything else. I did not even think that I would ever want to get a dedicated prepro for stereo playback. The Cayin did a great job all by itself. And the more I read about matching tube amps to tube preamps the more it scared me. System synergy and all that stuff.

Well, Paul helped designed this preamp and it matches perfectly to the Cayin, so I could not use that as an excuse. After talking with Paul for a while, I decided that I would give it a try with my system.

I am so glad that I tried it. It really is as good as Paul was hoping for.
