Hi all
I'm new to the forum, please can you advise on my upcoming investment?
New house, new living room. I've just had speaker cables channelled in for 9.1 surround (so, Fronts, front highs, centre, speakers on either side of the listener - should they be wides or surrounds?, and rear surrounds).
I have an existing 5.1 setup with acoustic energy evo ones, threes, centre and sub, which I love and want to add to.
I am considering the Onkyo TR1009, because it has 9 channels and 2 HDMI outs - is this a good choice?
What are the best choices for the new speakers I'll need? I have a pair of wharfedale 9.0 speakers (tiny things) are they a good choice for the high LR speakers? Should I find more evo ones for the back surrounds and/or another pair for the highs?
Thanks in advance!
Ben

The 1009 is a popular choice for 7.1+height/width. That costs considerably more from other brands...even considering the 1009 isn't like the "lower" Onkyo...in that it sees no discount.
And yes, more Evo.
