Pioneer 45 combined with 45a (1 Viewer)

I am contemplating this purchase but was wondering about the bass management problem. Does the 45 allow specific settings regarding individual speaker levels in order to compensate for this problem in sacd, dvd audio & still maintain the proper setting for dvd's or are you pretty much screwed on sacd if you set the receiver correctly for movie dvd's?
