PANNY 7UY vs NEC 42VM5?? (1 Viewer)

I'm going to get a 42" plasma this X-mas(bonus to good use).
my choices are the Panny 7uy or the Nec 42VM5. i know the Panny has the s vid problem but besides that they it is a great tv. I have not seen any of them so i don't know about PQ. Are the blacks on the Nec as good as the Panny?
does anybody have any screen shots of the two? What do ya'll think . Thanks.

Unless you are connecting via S-video, don't let this known issue scare you away. The black levels are still superior to the NEC although this is a also a good panel. If you are leaning towards the NEC, then I suggest the 42VR5- this is the residential version and has a 3 year onsite warranty.

THANKS KIRK. I was thinking the same thing. The only thing i have in s vid is my sat box which i will be upgrading to HD real soon. i hear so much about the blacks on the Panny are they really that good? Thanks again.
