I just picked up this player a few weeks ago. Love it. I noticed when I put on a movie with DTS-MA 7.1 sound (like Toy Story 3 and Sound of Music), the player says it has a 5.1 soundtrack. But I'm clearly hearing sound from the back surround speaker (I'm using the 7.1 analog outputs). Is this normal?

Another thing: I have a 6.1 setup in my room (very small). When I hear sounds out of the rear back speaker, it also comes out of either the left or right rear surround. I know I have everything hooked up correctly- I've run test tones to confirm. Is this normal?

I solved my own problem. Discovered you have to have the Secondary Audio Channel set to OFF. When it's set to ON all 7.1 audio is mixed down to 5.1.
