Is this a game we really need?
I was just curious where you've derived the authority to determine the needs of everyone? Thanks.

Personally, I have no interest in this game. Nor any interest in DOA:Extreme Beatoff HentaiFest Volleyball, either. But they sell and a lot of people like them, so more power to tehm.

I was wondering if you noticed the ? at the end of his question because thats what it was. He didnt state he was going to decide what anyone needed. You might read it again.

Josh,
DOA:Extreme Beatoff HentaiFest Volleyball
Either you have no idea what DoA Volleyball is, or you have no idea what constitutes Hentai.

I really don't understand why people get their knickers in a twist over a little skin. These are just games. That's it. If you like 'em, fine. If you don't, that's fine too. Just don't come riding in on a high horse and start passing judgement on things you know nothing about.

What troubles me is that a game featuring girls in bikinis is a new low while others featuring guns, violence and gore go unnoticed.

I think the irony is that these games are probably designed by the stereotypical game programming nerds who couldn't get a date to save their lives. They're developing their dream women.

And yes I do think these types of games are sad.

Or maybe the games are being made for the stereotypical dork gamer who couldn't get a date to save thier lives and doesn't ever go outside because all they do is play games and have no life? Maybe, maybe not? Didn't think so.

At the very least we now have an understanding where useless sterotypes come from.

Stereotypes are trash. Coming from someone who has a link regarding 1080p in their signature (and I would assume is a movie nut), you should know better than to make statements like that, especially referring to someone as a "nerd". I've heard more than once that the only reason guys like movies is to see the life they want to life (as they don't have one of their own), and see the women they'll never have. Is it true? Maybe for some, but not for all, and that's why those statements are not useful, inflammatory, and far off topic.

I'd agree with most of the other posters above. Not a necessary style, but if the Volleyball ends up being done well, it might be worth playing.

As far as I know, everyone likes boobies, even those of us who get some on the regular.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole outlaw series should be canned. Scary when you think Simon and Schuster is the publisher of trash like this
You know what strikes me as strange about a statement like this? That plenty of people who feel this way have little or no problems with games where you kill to achieve victory.

I really don't understand this weird "morality" we have here in the States.

If it shows skin or, is sexual in any way, tempers flare, people cry "ban it!", it makes headlines and, is usually hyped up far beyond it's own worth.

But play Half-Life, kill soldiers, whack some scientists over the head with a crowbar, and it's all okay.

But boobies and booty...WHOA NELLY!!!!!!! Now THAT'S evil!!!!!

On a similar note, parents freak if they find their young kids watching a porn but, it's usually okay to watch say, The Terminator. (great movie, btw)

Not that I condone kids watching smut, not at all but, if these so called experts are afraid that young people will emulate what they see on the screen, I ask you; would you rather have your kids emulate "Jenna Loves Rocco" or, "Natural Born Killers"? Yeah I know the answer is neither but, if you have to pick one I think the knee-jerk reaction is to shy away from sexual themes.

Why?

Why is violence, in general, more acceptable that 2 people boinking....???!?!! Link Removed

I don't understand.

I don't have kids but, if I found out that my 15 year old daughter was humping the football team, I think I'd be happier than if I found out my daughter took one of my rifles and wasted the football team.

Just my opinion.

Not only is there a disparity in how content (sex/violence) is regarded, but also in media. I feel that Austin Powers is much more explicit than DoAX, yet no one gets their underwear in a bunch over that.

It's just a matter of what people consider tasetless and what's not. When I see 2 scantily clad hoes all over each other in a volleyball game I consider that going a little overboard. In Halo there is definitely violence, but just about all of it isn't particularly gory or gratuitous. Not to mention it's an action game, violence is supposed to be there.

I can honestly (and would hope to) see bikinis in a volleyball game but if the girls are doing what they're displaying in the pics instead of playing volleyball I think that's dumb...
