This really IS Great News. However, I wish Disney would include the original Three Little Pigs in this collection (the one with the infamous "Jewish Peddler" sequence". Althoguh they undoubtedly won't do this, this'll still be a good collection nonetheless.

Most of these are already on Walt Disney Treasures DVDs (or will be), so I'm hoping for a disc with all the newer Disney shorts.

Me too Paul, as these are really the only additions that would be new to DVD:

36. Donald in Mathmagic Land (Nominee, 1959)
41. It’s Tough To Be a Bird (Winner, 1969)
45. Redux Riding Hood (nominee, 1998)
46. Destino (Nominee, 2003)
47. Lorenzo (Nominee, 2004)

I won't be picking up that box set, though it would be nice to see a release of the above four in some form or another with upcoming releases. I expect to at least see Donald In Mathmagic Land included on the long rumored 'Eductional' Treasure set that will hopefully come out with future waves. I'm not sure where "It's Tough To Be A Bird" would fit in, but I'd love to see that released most of all, preferably as an extra on a relevant DVD title or perhaps included with the equally long rumore True Life Adventure sets that are hopefully still coming.

It would also be nice to see Destino and Lorenzo which I saw at a theatrical screening in Ottawa 2 years ago during the International Animation Festival. It was a spectacular short!

Actually Marcos, There are more noteworthy New to DVD Cartoons such as Mother Goose Goes Hollywood (Which was never released on VHS, Laserdisc or DVD in the United States before), Three Orphan Kittens (Not included on the Silly Symphonies Treasure or Any other R1 DVD), and the two Donald cartoons Rugged Bear and No Hunting (Both New to DVD, and it'll be a while before they show up on a Chronological Donald

MGGH & TOK will surely be released on the follow-up Silly Symphonies Treasure set which we are now almost certain will be coming out shortly, after Mr. Maltin spoke so optomistically of it's potential in a recent online interview. I wouldn't be surprised to see it released as part of next year's wave.

And the two Donald / Humphrey cartoons will undoubtedly be released on the final Chronological D.D. set which we should see within the next 2 yrs. max. I don't mind waiting that long for two cartoons.

I don't see the point in buying this box set for less than a handfull of cartoons which will be released within a few years time anyway in a better and more comprehensive package, but that's just me.

I heard an interview on NPR today talking about the proceedings leading toward the buyout of Pixar by disney today. Apparently this was to help butter up the Apple/Pixar Jobs, while trying to smooth over relationships that Eisner had set into turmoil.

I would be very interested in this set. I usually pick up at least 2 Treasures from each set, but I did not this time b/c of the reports of poor quality. I was really looking forward to having the Rarities set for Lambert, so this would be a welcome second chance for Disney to get it right.
