Maybe Sullivan kept it quiet. Just because the police dept might have some sturdy files about your relatives and your school records doesn't mean they know who you may have been doing odd jobs for in secret.

I just watched this last night on BD and it was F'N superb. WRT the language, I work very closely with 2 Boston transplants. One of them grew up in the area in which this movie portrayed, and he says that that's how they talk there. He said it was true to life, so, IMO, it wasn't a creative decision to use the language, but one based on actuality.
