Entertainment Tonight just reported that Daniel contracted malaria while he was filming/living in the Amazon.

Another vote for Dan as stupidest survivor ever. And his parting line to Roger made me cringe - it was "Roger, someone made a stop payment on your reality check". I just burst out laughing, that was one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time.

If Dan uses lines like that on CBS I can only imagine the stupid lines he uses to pickup women.

Does anyone find the remaining Survivors all that likable?

I kind of like Rob just because he seems to make the funniest comments. Reminds me a little of Rob from last season.

I haven't found any contestant in any season very likable. well, maybe with the exception of Roger (I think that was season 2), who seemed to be a decent guy.

The least unlikable this season so far are Rob and the deaf girl.

I like Butch, but Roger is a hard pill to swallow.

I think that Mike was referring to Rodger Bingham, the farmer/teacher from Kentucky in the second season. That was the one won by Tina, when the general consensus was that Colby would have won had he gone to the jury with Keith.

I was just over at CBS’ Survivor site. Noticed that one of Daniel’s favorite movies was Dumb and Dumber.

3/6/03:

Sort of a low-energy episode.

The winner of the reward challenge was:

The men who got all 4 of their ropes burned through faster than the women and got a mini-fridge of Coca-Cola for their troubles.



The winner of the immunity challenge was:

The men again who caught more fish than the women.


So at tribal council, the person who got sent home was:

Joanna, even though Shawna really wanted to go home because she is at her low point. But the rest of her alliance (Deena, Heidi, Jenna) convinced Christy to vote for Joanna because Joanna is too strong of a competitor down the road. What's ironic is that only Jeane and Joanna voted against Shawna, and the votes revealed a 4-2 vote (Joanna over Shawna), but the last vote by Shawna was not revealed, and Shawna voted for Christy. So Shawna sort of dodged a bullet in not having that last vote show up, so she can still play like she's in the alliance.

I think it was a smart move to vote off Joanna. She's easily the strongest of the bunch and would be a problem down the road. That being said, SHUT UP SHAWNA! I can't wait for the numbers to work out for the alliance to maintain their position without her.

Heidi's comments about being young and cute are really starting to get old. She's pretty shallow and Jenna isn't that far behind. The small cute girls are at a disadvantage because the big old girls are surviving off their fat. Good god.

I guess we know who wins the reward challenge for next week. I guess they think showing it will bring in more viewers, given the nature of the reward.

I know Rob is goofy but I hope he sticks around. He's pretty entertaining.
