You only need Quicktime Pro for the large format of the trailer. Stick to medium or small and you don't have to purchase it.

I downloaded the MPG version of the original teaser as it was posted this morning. Don't know if it's "hi res"- but I'd be happy to email it to anyone who wants it.

I thought the trailer was nice. I'll reserve judgment for the film until I see it, but the trailer definitely did its job (get me to want to watch the film).

You have to have Quicktime 5 Pro for the large version. The medium and small trailers require only the free version of Quicktime 5.
I think this looks good--but it is too short to get a good sense of how the rest of the movie will be.

I was just thinking that the power of this whole SW thing is really amazing. I am definitly not a "fan boy", I never visited any dedicated SW site etc... and I am a stauch TPM hater. Yet, this teaser got me all riled up again. Doesn't make any sense...

I've got a hi-res, large .mov version that I'd be glad to send someone thru their email. Just let me know.

I have the latest version of quicktime, and have no problem watching .mov files. But for some reason, the quicktime trailers page is giving me nothing but broken filmstrips as well.

The trailer, from the four tiny vid caps on Dark Horizons does look compelling. I particularly like the way Yoda looks.

Edited: my DarkHorizons link was not working so I ommited it from this post.

I thought this was a teaser in the truest sense of the word. I'm salivating I tell ya. One thing though, was that Maul at the very end of the teaser?

Nice trailer. :) I found Jar Jar. Look closely at the shot of Mace Windu (00:36). He is approaching from the background behind Queen Amidala.

The trailer was pretty impressive, but I was a little put off by the shot of a whole room of kids.
I may be off here a little, but the room full of kids sure did look like a room full of "cloned" kids. Perhaps these are the Clones that will grow up to become CloneTroopers?
In any event, the flying "Fett" is definitely Jango Fett as you can tell his body armor is slightly different than Boba Fett's.

Dominik, I just spotted that too. Some sort of leather jacket old Binks has got on there... Had the shot gone one we'd have seen him stepping on Amidala's robes sending her falling flat onto her face with hilarious consiquences.

Obviously Anakin is going to go through some sort of "green is for chumps, I want blue!" phase in this since he's seen early on in this with a green lightsaber, then at the end has his original blue one.
I do like Watto's hat.
After the first shot of Amidala, the reverse shot of Anakin shows him talking to her, or someone else, with what looks somewhat like an Ep 4 Leia-esque hair style.

Why don't you guys just tape it off MTV today? I have an archive of all of the major events from Episode 1 on tape. The Tailers, the reports from the ticket lines, Toy lines, opening day, fan reactions, the clips are from ET, Extra, Access Hollywood, E! and local News. I created my own Episode 1 extra's tapes spanning 3 VHS tapes, all for Episode 1. Now I'm going to start an Episode 2 tape today with MTVs trailer.

Also consider that in AOTC, Spoiler: Boba Fett is a young boy.

Well, I've got "Breathing" on VHS yet I've still just forked out good money for QT5 Pro.

Not a whole room of KIDS, a whole room of KID. If you pause it, you'll notice that they're all the same actor. These are the clones we've been hearing about. The eeriest scene (next to the trapped Obi-Wan) in the whole trailer for me. I have a cruddy VCD version with poor colors that just doesn't do this trailer justice. Some many things we've never seen before. I'm excited. If I had two complaints about Episode I it would be Anakin's dialogue in the Naboo fighter at the end, and how it simply regurgitated ROTJ. Hopefully, we're in for something very new with this one. Also, to watch the largest version, just go on Morpheus and type in "Quicktime 5 Pro keygen" and you'll find what you need.

Spoiler:It's believed that the lightsaber Anakin is using during the lightsaber with Count Dooku on Geonosis at the end of the film is not his, not a lightsaber that he's constructed. He lost his green lightsaber sometime during the battle, and picked up the blue one from a fallen Jedi.
