The Devil's Men (1976) - Monday 21st November
Haunted House of Terror (1969) - Monday 28th November.
Good news, these two are pretty rubbish but have been hard to get hold of on DVD and selling for silly marketplace prices.

Shall be interesting to see how it compares to the Scorpion release of The Devil's Men. Haunted House of Terror has been shown late at night on TV a few times in the past couple of years. Have read only bad reviews of it. Could be so bad it's good.

It's Jill HA-worth, not Hayworth.
Love it!!! Again someone in charge that has no idea what they are doing.

lol Could be a simple oversight on Odeon's part, but yes it is humourous.

Regardless of the typo on the front cover of Haunted House of Horror, shall still likely get this Odeon title.

Any further comments on the film?
Though the film is much maligned and often considered one of the films that sent Brando's career spiraling downward (until his resurrection with The Godfather and Last Tango In Paris), I find it an engaging nifty little thriller. Though Brando is the star, the movie is stolen by Richard Boone's creepy psychotic and Rita Moreno's zonked up druggie.

Not a fan of Marlon Brando, but when checking Odeon's older titles on Amazon UK, this was one of the titles which stood out. Typical how a film is critically panned on initial release, and then years/decades later is more appreciated.

THE COMEBACK? As in the Pete Walker movie? Hmm. Would've preferred seeing FRIGHTMARE remastered first. Still, Walker is always a fun watch. Thanks for the head's up.
Subject of reply is in bold.

Recently emailed Odeon about whether Frightmare (1974) will be re-released remastered. Their reply basically said "no plans at the moment/at this time".

Night of the following day isn't bad. I have an old release. Brando looks cool thought I think I read there were problems on the set between him and the director.
Haunted House of Horror is goofy fun and surprisingly gory for its time.

I'm surprised nobody seems to have mentioned Odeon's twin releases of all the Fox Warner Oland and Sidney Toler Charlie Chan pictures. The Oland set contains all 12 extant Chan pictures for £49.99 RRP and the Toler set contains all 11 of his Fox Chans for the same price. Best current price for UK and Ireland is £35.99 at HMV. Before anybody asks, apparently they've licensed the Fox remasters (I'll post to confirm) rather than use the abominable PD masters that have blighted previous releases. There is, of course, no overlap with MGM's "Chanthology" set which leaves a small handful of pictures to round up for completeness.
