October and November are bad...
for me it will be: Lion King, Dick Van Dyke s 1 & 2, Sanford and Son S. 3, MWC S. 1, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Looney Toons Gold Collection,
and in november...
Finding Nemo, King of the Hill s. 2, Space Ghost Coast to Coast Vol. 1, Aquateen Hunger Force Vol. 1, WWE the Best of Ric Flair (3 disc set) and probably a few others I can't remember.

I just come up with two lists. What I would like and what I can afford and/or have time to watch. My wallet and family are quite happy. :)

Still, October is going to be pushing my limits!

I love threads like this because there is always some DVD you hadn't heard about, especially if you don't hang in Software enough.

I just added the Complete Works of...Director's series discs which are like dream DVDs to me. Specifically with Jonze I had been wishing for all those great music videos to be put together in one spot everytime they do an artist profile on him.

Hopefully this will take off and continue with other directors who started by making great videos or commercials. Fincher for example.

I look at these posts and see how many dvd's you buy and how you say its so much money, but honestly with all these movies you buy, how many of them have you watched only once. Are you really going to watch Hollywood Homocide that often? Deep Space Nine? Are you really that big of a Sanford and Son fan? Why not just buy the ones you really want

Exactly. Pretty easy month for me. Just:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 30th Ann.
Tokyo Story: Criterion

Just two titles for me in November too:

L'Auberge Espagnole
Three's Company: Season One

Probably will purchase a few older Criterion titles along the way :)

The problem is, even just those I really want adds up to a hefty number...

Being really selective over Oct/Nov still yields:-

Lion King
Matrix Reloaded
Battlestar Galactica
Finding Nemo
Star Trek V FF
Sopranos 4
Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii
T3
LOTR:TTT (EE)
West Wing 1 (which to add insult to injury is a double-dip since I already have the R2)
and of course Indiana Jones

Add DS9 5, although I get the R2 version and I'm not sure exactly when it comes out in UK, maybe 26 Oct I think.

And add a huge backlog of stuff already released which I haven't bought yet...

Black Sunday Black Sunday Black Sunday Black Sunday

This has been a good year for Frankenheimer. The Iceman Cometh, Andersonville, Black Sunday, and now The Horsemen on 12/2!

Ironically we get the "Making of Grand Prix" but no "Grand Prix!"
