If your "very good deal" means buying a used projector, I would not do it. Much too risky. What are you confused about? Is your throw distance still 12' and screen size still 100" diagonal? I recommend you do the following:
1) Decide on 3D, yes or no
2) Decide on LCD, DLP or LCos
3) Max. budget for projector
4) Are you going to ceiling mount it or use a shelf?
Once you answer these questions, we can see which ones will work for you

Hi mate
Thanks for your input.
The mits 9000 is a demo, done 500 hours in a shop, still under full warranty, and has been fully calibrated by a professional.
I like th mits 7800 and possible 9000.
Both theses projectors are available for just under $5,000 each.
Have still been looking up reviews on the 9000.
So im not confused but just unsure of the 9000,against the 7800.
Both of these projectors do 2d extremely well and 3d fairly good as well.
What do you think?
Cheers and thanks for your help.

If you're getting a full warranty, I'd buy the 9000. It's a better projector than the 7800. My questions to them would be 1) Are they going to warranty the bulb? If not, will they put a new one in for you? 2) The fact that the 9000 was calibrated by a pro is great, but if you buy it, it would need to be re-calibrated for "your room". 3) Will they do that for you as part of the deal?
