That's $10 more expensive than the 2-pack that Amazon already sells, not to mention more expensive than buying the two movies separately (from Amazon). Is there something special about this set?

Nope. I would assume same discs, new packaging.

My goal is to provide the latest preorders. Those of you that
know some of these previous releases better than I can inform
other members whether it is a better deal or not.

In this case, it appears it isn't.
