Newbie needs help on Home Theatre setup (1 Viewer)

Ok, here's what I have, Harmon Kardon AVR 247 with 3 HDMI 2 are in and 1 is out.
LG Plasma with 3 Hdmi Inputs, all in.
Direc TV HD receiver
X box 360 with hd
I'm looking for the best sound and video possible and I'm lost as to what to plug in where as far as Hdmi. If anybody could give me some help as to what to plug in where and from, etc....... I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help!

Hi Brendan, welcome to HTF!
I would use your receiver as the central hub for your system. Plug the DirecTV into the receiver, plug the Xbox into the receiver, then plug the receiver into the TV. That way, you will get your audio through your receiver, and your video through your TV.
If you add a blu-ray player to the mix, you will want to plug either the DirecTV box or the Xbox into the TV directly, then plug the blu-ray player into the receiver. That way you will preserve the high-res audio from the blu-ray player.
