i just got a malata dav 3100 dvd player from a friend i hooked it up to my lg 47" lcd tv and every thing works fine but when i want to watch tv (cable) the speakers dont work i have it hooked up with an optical cabel.

I "assume" you need to switch inputs.
I can't find ANYTHING online about it other than it being a 5.1 one piece HTiB.
Post a picture of the back of this thing and its remote.
