What a great game. Unfortunately I'm in NY on business, so I missed the local Chapel Hill coverage. My son says it was like Times Square on Franklin Street. Good news though, I watched the game in hi-def at my friends house on his 50 in grand wega.
As for this Kansas fan, at the time, yes, in retrospect, I'm glad he didn't. I would rather have a dozen mediocre seasons with a coach that actually wants to be there than win even one Championship with a coach who would rather be someplace like UNC.
That's what us Illini fans were hoping for. The lead in the first half was just too big for the Illini to overcome in the second half. The Illini actually outscored NC by eight points in the second half. The Illini just picked the wrong half to have a bad shooting percentage. We are all still proud of the U of I here in Champaign-Urbana.
