Multi-zone home theater (1 Viewer)

From a management perspective I want to be able to manage the room speakers individually. My goal was always to be able to manage the room speakers individually so that if i want it louder outside ( or completely off a night and probably most of the time ) i'm able to adjust the volume or on/off through the AVR remote or IOS application. These individual rooms are all through the speaker switch in zone 2 so whichever will allow me to achieve that goal.

I do not see anything for a powered zone 2 in the manual for the X3000, looking specifically at the amplifier rating I see below.

Nevermind the power, i think the work around would be to just get another pre-out zone and manage the external speakers that way using 2 speaker switches as you indicated previously. I read through your previous notes and it answered lot of my questions in that regard, thanks again. One question regarding the AVR's.

The Pioneer SC-1523-K 9.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver vs the Denon X4000, looks like the Pioneer is like 600 bucks off right now on Amazon.they seem pretty similar spec wise. Only thing I notice so far is it doesn't offer Sirius as a service while Denon does ( i use sirius ) but not sure thats ultimately a factor for that cost difference.

The main advantage to the Pioneer is the 9 channels it has. While Amazon has them around $780 as a warehouse deal(last I checked)...raging bargain.
