Multi-driver sub question (1 Viewer)

In theory, what is the best way to mount two sub woofer drivers in one encloser? All on one face? Or on opposite sides of the box?
If you were mounting four drivers, would you want them all on one side, on four opposing sides, paired on opposite sides, etc.?
I assume all drivers are wired in phase with each other. Is there any advantage in wiring out of phase(if mounted on opposite sides of the box)?

Dan,

I would mount two drivers on opposing faces and wired in phase so that their forces would cancel each other out. You could do the same with 4 drivers; either two on each side, or one on each of 4 sides.

I agree with Brian. This method keeps cabinet vibrations to a minimum since forces from opposing drivers cancel each other. Wiring out of phase is bad - sound waves from drivers cancel each other.
