not from A&E in the US
not even from Tiger Aspect in the UK

    but in AUSTRALIA! from UNIVERSAL!

will be about the same number of discs as the A&E release (eventually)..

    mine should be here monday.

That's the way it should be. I hate that A&E ASKED for the full frame versions of the episodes for their releases.

blame the CBC also [IMG] they ran them in full screen (whilst other BBC/Channel 4 shows ran LBX). You should perhaps update your reviews to indicate that they PROPER versions are available elsewhere..

Just got the disc (4 days from OZ.. great shipping EzDVD) and all I can say is DAMN YOU A&E!

How could you release those CROPPED BUTCHERED VERSIONS! This was no 'center safe' production.. these were meant to be seen widescreen...

get the R2/R4 versions.. tell A&E to stick it.

yup... but a problem easily fixed for about $69.

go to Amazon (or Target or WalMart) and find a Philips 642 player.

    plug in
    press OPEN
    (on the remote)
    press 7 8 9 OK 0
    press CLOSE
    power off

power on. Region-free and PAL>NTSC conversion.

(trust me, importing stuff you can't get over here is an addiction... I'm off to watch "Shaun of the Dead" and the "Spaced" 3 disc set that came in today from Amazon.UK)

Any idea when Volume 2 is coming? I've checked EzyDVD and Region 4 DVD news sites and haven't found any release date.
