Mouse wheel in PC Games (1 Viewer)

I've had a problem ever since I switched to the new model Logitech trackman where the mouse wheel doesn't work in games. Nothing in Vice, and in Morrowind it was either neutral, always scroll up, or always scroll down. Any idea how to get this to work? I tried updating mouseware already. Has anyone else had this problem?

In the past, I've found that going to the Task Manager and killing em_exec.exe fixes the problem. It's the program logitech uses for it's systray icon, IIRC. In fact, on my PC I don't even allow it to start anymore.
