Starting as a maker of Yakuza b-flicks, Kurosawa has gone on to become a popular cult director. I think his film Cure is the best horror film of the '90's, but I haven't seen anything else by him that has had close to the effect that one had.

*1. Cure - A (also the only one I've seen on film and one of those all-too rare experiences where I knew absolutely nothing about the film before I saw it)

4. Bright Future - A- (I still can't articulate what drew me to this film, maybe it's the jellyfish)
*5. Pulse - B (Much more highly thought of in horror/cult circles than I found it to be)
*6. Charisma - B (This is a very odd film, sometimes in good ways, sometimes in virtually incoherent ones)

10. Doppelganger - C (Didn't think this one worked very well)
