the entire sentence was...
Don't just quote the part which suits your argument. I do admit it would have been more accurate to say you like a remarkably low percentage. To me, watching as many at 10,000 movies to find only 1,000 I liked is a very low percentage. In fact, you have, by your own admission, possibly liked even fewer of the movies you have seen than I guessed. I said 1 out 6 or 7 and you are saying it is possibly as low as 1 out of 10. I also don't know how to interpret your exchanging the terms "loving" a movie and "liking" it.

Anyway, I don't think I have anything else to say on the matter. I have stated my observations, which you have actually reinforced. So go ahead and make another spinning statement, so you can fell like you have "won". I don't really care.

Well John, if you insist on quoting entire sentences, how about entire paragraphs, or entire posts or entire threads? I quoted the relevant part that I was responding to.

Frankly John, you seem to be on some sort of personal vendetta against me in a number of threads lately. I don't know why, I can only assume that somehow you're taking my dislike of one or more films personally and feeling a need to lash out.

Well, I feel no need to be lashed at. I'm putting you on ignore. Continue to attack me, it obviously makes you feel good, but don't expect to get any more responses from me. To the degree that you're lashing out at me in order to invoke a response, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Bye.

The Fountain (2005) - 8/10
Requiem for a Dream (2000) - 1/10

Hey, I actually agree with george on something, although for different reasons. I like dark films, but RFAD is about as subtle and nuanced as an anvil dropped on your head. DRUGS ARE BAD. DRUGS ARE BAD. DRUGS ARE BAD. Thanks, I knew that. Anything else? No? Okay, see ya.

The Fountain (2005) 3/4
Requiem for a Dream (2000) 0/4
Pi (1998) 2/4

I was one of those people who hated Requiem with a passion - it was a big, immature, soulless mess made by a hack kid, etc. etc. - but I enjoyed his other two features. The Fountain wins for Clint Mansell's contribution (the score) and some really ambitious narrative technique, 2001-stealing aside.
