(I don't think this needs a spoiler alert.)

This may have been mentioned already, but in the Millenium episode, Mulder and Scully go visit that guy in the mental ward. He says he is watching the Boston College/Notre Dame football game on TV. However, the date is December 29. By late December, the regular season is over. Plus, BC and ND play each other every year. There is no way any Bowl would pair these two teams in a bowl game rematch...unless it were for the national title, which would be played in early January.

What does that have to do with DVDs? I wouldn't describe it as a glitch, which may by definition be an applicable term, but usually indicates a technical problem rather than a storytelling problem.

What is this? Just a small fact-checking error that has zero to do with telling the story. Really. Oh, and the guy was in a mental ward...I don't recall every detail of the story, but maybe the dude was, uh, crazy?

Actually he wasn't. He was undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, at the end of which he successfully regains custody of his daughter. But I agree that this isn't a "glitch", and I'm retitling the thread accordingly (and moving it to the TV Programming forum).

That's not as bad as Notre Dame playing USC on Christmas Eve in Die Hard. Everybody knows they always play each other the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

That ruined the whole movie for me. :p)

Perhaps it was an ego thing from one of th writers, wanting to include their favorite , or dream, matchup in an episode. Sort of like the episode later in the season when someone is watching the failed Chris Carter show (I can't remember the name) and even says "It's good" not once but twice!

That's shameless.
