Dear Bob Cashill, I DID find 20 sellers of recently released Modern Problems May,2012. All the Sites listed region unknown. I found a used copy that indicated it was region one with the same release date. I guess if the identification code is the same then I can buy a new one and assume that it will play. I contacted 10 of the 20 sellers of the new ones. Not a sole would vouch for playing iin region one. No one would unwrap it and test it because it immediately becomes used. I do not blame them, The price is about 8$ , so it is cheap enough to risk. Interestingly I found 2 European sellers with a 2005 region 1 copy. The 1st seller asked $39+hefty shipping. The 2nd asked $95!!!! + hefty S/H. WOW!
Something new has come up in buying items from Canadian sellers using PAY-PAL. Currency exchange fee is automatically added to the buyer. The new fee is 2.5%. The exchange difference in currency was a fraction of a penny, but PAY-PAL has found a new way to feed their greed and up-charged the transaction total including postage amounts by 2.5% on the total transaction, No notice of the fee plus adding the fee to a standardized postage amount that is determined in the US does not seem right. I guess my future DVD purchases will be confined to the USA .
Back to "Modern Problems ",I assume that's what I have! Smiles, DebraRed

I second Terror Vision. cheesy fun. All I have it a damaged VHS I bought. Made my own DVD out of it but it's not what I need. Good widescreen print like MGM would do. I'd watch it all the time, Friday night or something.
Only one I can think of right now is Jokes My Folks Never Told me. I rented that years ago from a Mom & Pop, bunch of dirty jokes with loads of 70s nudity.. just a blast kind of like those odd adult fairy tales that were being done, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Groove Tube, etc. A set with all those in it would be trippy as hell. They don't make adult films like that anymore. Today's porn sucks! :td: Note: I can only remember one joke from it, about the farmer's wife pulling butt hairs off her hubby to see if he's still awake, complete with cartoonish "ping!" noises. lol I need to see all those again. So I'm basically begging... reduced to begging... :(

Three favorites which seem to have disappeared.
The Pizza Triangle aka A Drama Of Jealousy (Dramma Della Gelosia) (1970) which is only available from Italy in Italian with no English subs. A wonderful comedy with Marcello Mastroianni, Monica Vitti and Giancarlo Giannini still too unseen. My only hope is that Criterion gets their hands on it.
Elio Petri's stunning Investigation Of A Citizen Above Suspicion with Gian Maria Volonte and Florinda Bolkan doesn't seem available anywhere, not even in Italy! Again, it seems a no brainer for Criterion.
Perhaps the most obscure is a 1980 film that was released in the U.S. under the title Together? (aka Amo Non Amo) (1980) with Jacqueline Bisset, Maximilian Schell and Terence Stamp. The Italian version had a score by Goblin (Dario Argento's musical collaborators) but the U.S. version was scored by Burt Bacharach.
I'd buy all three but hopefully any release of Together? would contain the Bacharach score (my preferred) with an alternative track with the Goblin score.

Yeah, Empire! I'd seriously buy all of their releases. Wonderful 80s cheese like MST3K used to show. :)

Another I'd listed had I thought of it. Never forgot this from cable viewings in the 80s. Always liked the idea. An excellent double feature with something like Happy Birthday to Me or PIECES. :)
BEASTMASTER sequels. I think there were 2.
THE QUEST. With Henry "E.T." Thomas. I remember liking this.

Has The Gong Show Movie ever been released on DVD?
I watched it off HBO the other day and remember how much I loved that show when it was on.
Blood Beach ever on DVD?
My mom who loves cheesy horror movies took me to see that when I was a kid. I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Some of mine:
What's so Bad About Feeling Good? I think it's the music rights that are holding it up.
The Perils of Pauline (Pat Boone version) so silly, and stupid, please let it come out.

NORWOOD. (1970) Glen Campbell, Kim Darby and... Joe Namath? Joe is in that! Well... really been a LOOOONG time.
No VHS? Definitely no DVD, no BLURAY. What's the deal? I remember it being like a Peter Fonda flick, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry or Outlaw Blues. Maybe more like an Elvis flick? Would love to see it again. Now, you can get the sound track at least.

The Exile has been released R1 (August 9, 2010) on DVD-R by a company called FCE.
I bought a copy via Amazon. The quality was mediocre at best. The visual quality was soft and murky, probably an old TV master.

Decided to get a while back, the CD score release of Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion (1970) and was hoping that one day a DVD/Blu-ray of this Gia Maria Volente film would happen.
