Lost my Onkyo (1 Viewer)

My unit was heating up and before I could turn it of a little flash of light and its dead. With out knowing what happened I am guessing there is no real way to fix it. Any thoughts?

Sounds like it blew a cap. If it burned the board(likely), yes it is toast.That is why owners of older gear should learn to open stuff up once in a while and check for bulging cap(acitors). It still isn't "cheap" to fix befote it blows...What Onkyo was this?
