Great news! The only think that makes me uncomfortable about the news is that the release date is listed as December 30, 2008! Hopefully that's a typo! http://www.thecinemascopecat.blogspot.com

I've been wanting to see this since I caught most of it on TV when I was 12 years old. Have the soundtrack album too, and really enjoy the score. The original with Colman, Wyatt, etc., cannot be topped, but I'll gladly be adding this to the collection - maybe a late Christmas present??!!!

Dear Joe, Where did you find this info? I saw LH at Radio City on it's release day, with the fertility dance still in it, as I recall. I've been wanting a copy ever since. However, I can't find ANY mention of it at DVD Empire. There are only three titles listed under "new releases", and no dates to access beyond December 13th. Am I missing something obvious? Many thanks, Poder

every day - under Recent Additions(newly announced titles) DVD Empire listws their istings for the day. I was just at the site and lost Horizon is listed as a dvd for release on dec 30. Two other people emailed me with an ad from oldies.com that has it as aa dvd-r to be released on Oct. 4 Dont't know which to believe.

Yes, Oldies lists it as part of the Sony Screen Classics By Request MOD program. If, indeed, it's posted on the Warners Archive site by October 4 then it's clear DVD Empire was misinformed. Well, either Sony MOD or Sony pressed, it's a welcome addition. Personally, I doubt the DVD community is holding their breath for a release of the 1973 musical so I suspect it will be MOD but we shall see ..... http://www.thecinemascopecat.blogspot.com

A MOD release sounds more accurate to me, as I doubt Sony has plans to give this movie a properly pressed Special Edition...
