I have recently purchased a pair of used B&W DM640s and they are missing the plastic blanking-off plates which seal the ports.

The speakers originally came with two different sized ports and a pair of blanking-off plates. The ports allow you to fine tune the sound, the plates reduce the bass.

I have contacted B&W and they indicated that "Those were what we called blanking plugs and are no longer available". Would appreciate if anyone knows where these can be obtained.

Thanks

I'm not sure what B&W uses but SVS uses port plugs. Foam cylinders slightly larger than the opening of the port and inserted to create an air tight seal. Elemental Designs sells a similar plug as well.
