Anyone know the name and performer of the techno/electronic song that played at the beginning? Sounds really familiar, but I can't place it. Thanks if you know!

My wife, Elizabeth went to elementary and High School with Josh in Minot, North Dakota. She remembers him as being a nice guy, but not the brightest bulb on the tree.

My dad ended up playing a round of golf with him in a tournament in Minot this summer. He did remember Liz (or so he said). I asked my dad how he golfed...he said "Well....he's a good looking guy...."

I too liked the show...not the best acting, but I was entertained.

I just got round to watching the tape of this one and I think I will pass on the rest. The plot was okay and the characters were likable, but the constant Danny voice overs were annoying as all get out. And Samantha Jane gave in a little too quick to Danny's offer imho. I'm really glad this show isn't up against CSI: Miami all season.

The show wasn't good to enough to put up with the shitty, expositional VO's.

I agree, that was a bit annoying. There were supposed to be more though, evident by the VO lines in the closed captioning that were never actually spoken. :)

Overall, I liked it, mostly because I like Vegas and I like shows about gambling. I wish they had made "Lucky" into a 1 hour show instead and shown that NBC though...

I TiVo'd this one last week and finally got around to watching last night. I'm with most of you here - I really enjoyed it for what it was. I would be diappointed if a show called "Las Vegas" wasn't glitzy eye-candy. ;) I'll be back.

Man, this guy sounds like a real-life Joey Tribbiani. :D

It came in last in its time slot against CSI:Miami, so they are wisely moving it to 9PM, opposite MNF. If it survives the football season, it may have a future, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I couldn't tell if I was watching the old Vega$ show with Robert Urich (shots of Danny, who is kind of reminiscent of Robert Urich, driving down the strip with the neon reflecting off the windshield), or CSI (corpse lying at the end of the runway with the strip in the background). Danny is kind of a gopher/concierge for James Caan's security department at a Bellagio class casino. So is this a crime show, relationship show, comedy, or Discovery Channel's Vegas Week put together into a scripted series? I actually couldn't tell after an hour of watching the pilot.

I think it was always slated for 9 p.m., it just happened that there was an extra long Fear Factor to kick-off their season last week.
