Part of a Universal press release for Jurassic Park III, as posted on The Digital Bits:
quote: "Consumers purchasing Jurassic Park III who already own Jurassic Park and The Lost World DVDs may receive a collectible Jurassic Park DVD slipcase and Bonus Disc allowing them to complete their own "Jurassic Park Trilogy Collection" via mail for only $6.95."[/quote]
    We likes that.
P.S. Sorry about the misspelling of Jurassic Park in the title.

Considering people are actually paying for the bonus disc will hopefully make Universal move a little faster with it. I think that is great that Universal is making it available at all.

I was hoping there would be a slipcase offered for those who had JP I & II already. The special DVD being added to the $6.95 price is stupendous.
Universal really deserves big kudos for this offering.

Why not just package III with the Extras' disc and bump the price $5.

Any idea if the packaging for JP and LW will de different in the set? I'd get the set if they made a DTS version, but I have my doubts.

I've been very critical of Universal for the last 6 months, but I have to say that this is a very nice gesture on their part.
Let's hope this is the start of a more consumer friendly Universal Studios from this point onward.
    Regards,
    Dan

It sounds to me that anyone can get the bonus disc for just $6.95 whether or not you purchased JP1/2 previously. Kudos to Universal! They are making up for the JP DTS fiasco.

I'm happy! When I get Jurassic Park III, I can send away for Dragonheart!!!
I'm sorry. I just didn't want to pay $35 for Dragonheart.

I will congratulate Universal when I have the slipcase and Extra disc in my hands.
I'm STILL waiting for my 'free' Casino DVD that I sent in for when I bought Pitch Black and U-571. They cashed my $2.00 check for shipping. That was what, oh a year or so ago?? [IMG] [IMG]
Now whenever I see these mail in offers, I usually just toss them.

I hope they don't make us send something to prove we have the other 2 movies. I really don't want to go cutting up my covers.

Here's a suggestion actually-why not just ship JP3 with the case and extra disc to the stores-that way we can all get the disc and the box without having to mail away for them. I still like that they're making them available, but after hearing about problems with other mail in offers on DVDs I'm starting to have my doubts.

As it was said before, I hope they don't ask for us to cut up our DVD covers for the mail away offer.
