Gents,

Seem to have a small problem that is bugging the hell out of
some individuals....

Take a look at this page I created with iWeb '08

http://www.hometheaterforum.com/cedia2007/Index.html

There is a Quicktime video at the top of the page.

Now take your mouse and put it over the PLAY button. Why is
the mouse pointer not turning into a HAND? On most every video
posted to the Internet, the mouse pointer turns into a hand that
indicates some type of action needs to be taken.

You can see more examples of this on the many video podcasts
listed on that page.

Is this a "quirk" within the iWeb program, the iMovie compression
(I saved the video as a "streaming" file) or some setting I missed?

Thanks in advance for the help.

This is a fact of life with QuickTime video: no hand.

Here's an official QuickTime demo, and there's no hand. http://www.apple.com/macosx/theater/quicktime.html

You can get a hand with alternate embedding methods -- the HTML Snippet method I described in a previous thread provides a hand for the thumbnail image. But even so, once the movie is loaded, there's no hand.
