Also, there's a 2.1 software update for AppleTV, which makes it compatible with MobileMe, iTunes 7.7 and the new Remote app for iPhone & iPod Touch. AND I just discovered that this update makes ATV respect the Compilations Browsing setting on the iTunes host it is synced to. About time, Apple!

Spent some time browsing the AppStore. Lots of cool-looking stuff. Can't wait to get 2.0 on my phone and start downloading!

I'll say there are some serious issues.

The new iTunes will not even recognize my 1st gen iPhone

Additionally, I have no idea what to do with the iPhone 2.0
.dmg install files that I just downloaded as they do not install
by just clicking on them.

Maybe I should just wait for my 3G phone tomorrow.

Use firefox, Safari is trying to unzip the dmg and you dont want to do that.

Is there any benefit to upgrading iTunes if you don't have any of Apple's toys? After a series of problematic releases, iTunes 7.6 is actually working good for me so I don't want to fuck with it if I don't have to.

So has anyone in Europe or Asia been able to get the 2.0 firmware through iTunes? It's still telling me that 1.1.4 is the latest, and MobileMe is barely alive (no WebMail yet).
