Disney (and other studios) have often made anamorphic DVD's available in Europe of titles we only get in pan-and-scan or letterboxed. QUIZ SHOW, my favorite Robert Redford film, is one of these (others are SHIPWRECKED, JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN, WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT, etc).

Has anyone run across an anamorphic copy of ARACHNOPHOBIA? Seems as though this one would be ripe for Blu-ray, as popular as it was/is.

It is amazing that they are still peddling the same DVD release of this film from 1999. You would think they would have at least done a second release at some point just to give us an anamorphic version. I seem to recall a few others in my collection with the same issue.

I did a quick look for region's 2 and 4 and it didn't look promising.

For Nixon, it took a blu-ray release before it was anamorphic.

Just curious, how do you know these are anamorphic and not just the same as the region 1 version. I couldn't locate anything definitive.

Thanks, that was very helpful. Somehow I had managed to miss knowing about that site, but it is on my list now. Much appreciated.
