Is there a way to determine compatibility? (1 Viewer)

I have WinME (still) and at one point I attempted to start fresh with a new hard drive and WinXP. During the install, I got an error which indicated something in my PS was not compatible with XP.

My question is, is there a web site or a program that will look at my machine and tell me what is or isn't XP-friendly?

Many thanks...

Jimmy!

You need an XP power supply and motherboard. You had an ME PS & motherboard. Simple. Buy a new board and PS.

I know that sounded really rude but XP has a few extra connectors from the PS to the board. WHy? $$$ What else?

Sorry, but I can't help but laugh at this. It's a total screw job.
